BIO

Amiram Eini is one of the most prominent singer-songwriters on the Israeli indie/folk rock music scene. After a few years of leading the band Amiram Inc. he has re-embarked on a solo career, and has recently released his first solo album.

Norwegian-born Amiram founded Amiram Inc. in early 2005, after gigging and recording for a few years as a solo artist in various clubs in France, Norway, the US and Israel. The band released its debut album, titled Little Defects, in the beginning of 2007. The album was produced by one of Israel's leading producers, Gil Smetana, in collaboration with A-Ha producer Leif Johanssen. It was recorded in Israel, Norway and England and received great reponse from both media and the audience. The debut single Allright was huge hit on Israel's no.1 national radio and  the Israeli Music Channel. The band played numerous gigs all across the country and began to gather a steady following.

In August 2007 the band embarked on a short tour in England, playing 9 gigs in two weeks (including the famous Camden venue, Dublin Catle) and got a warm response from the local crowd.

In December 2009 Amiram recruited the band and a number of local celebrities to aid African Refugees in Israel, recording and filming a video for the song I Guess I Must Be Wrong to lead a fund raising campaign for Israeli volunteer organizations helping the refugees.

A few months later Amiram Inc. embarked on another impressive project, filming the amazing video for the single Can't Pretend, in what was then (and probably still is at the time) Israel's greatest music video production. The video starred famous Israeli dancer/choreographer Anna Aronov, Amiram and the band members at the time.

As the band went through a few personnel changes over the last years, Amiram decided to go on a solo career, continuing to gig steadily, in different live formats – from a solo act to a 6 piece band, with a few other combinations in between. Amiram's songs, vocals and stage performance have proved to win over the crowds in all and any of those situations.

In the summer of 2012 he took a break from working on his new, soon to be released debut solo album, to record So It Goes, an English cover version of an Israeli classic song written by Shmulik Kraus. The song was part of a project called "Kova Tembel", and along with its release Amiram embarked on a cross-country tour, playing 17 gigs in just over a month all over Israel.

In April 2014 Amiram released his new album, Undefined. Alongside the continued work and live stage play to promote the album, he has also recently released a side-project single, a duet with female vocalist and producer Reut Yehudai. The song is an English version (translated by Amiram himself) of "The Anger", a great 90's hit by Israeli band Rockfour.

Amiram's music can be described as alternative folk rock, with a distinct sound and strong melodies. His strong vocal presence, rich lyrics and energetic stage performance make an unforgettable live act.
